The Very High Voltage Synchronous Motor is built mainly from the components, which have been carefully developed and proven over many years in our conventional synchronous motor. The real invention is in the stator.
The stator technology for this motor is based on ABB's patented and well-known high voltage cable winding concept. A concept also used in other system components, such as transformers and large generators used in various applications.
