ABB's all-new A100-L takes single-stage turbocharging for low-speed, two-stroke diesel engines to the next level
ABB Turbocharging introduces the A100-L turbocharger series as a significant step in the development of single-stage, high-efficiency, high-pressure turbocharging for low-speed, two-stroke engines.
ABB currently supplies the two-stroke engine market with its highly successful TPL..-B family of turbochargers. Since being introduced to the market, more than 5000 TPL..-B units have been specified or put into service worldwide. ABB remains fully committed to supplying the high-performance TPL..-B for present as well as future two-stroke engines requiring compressor pressure rations of up to 4.2.
To meet the performance and emissions requirements of a fast-modernizing and more environmentally oriented maritime sector well into the furture, ABB is introducing the A175- as the first of its next-generation A100-L turbochargers specifically for medium-bore, low-speed, two-stroke diesel engines designed for higher pressure ratios of at least 4.7 at highest turbocharger efficiencies.
