The IRB 340 FlexPicker™, your ideal solution in applications where objects need to be moved quickly and precisely, one at a time, from one location to another. What is more, the system is accurate in that it only selects perfect objects. If, for example, a cookie, a piece of chocolate or a pill is defective the robot will ignore it.

  • Reliable – High production up time
    IRB 340 is built using just a few parts, which is why up time is higher compared to hard automation solutions. The MTBF for the mechanic is 135,000 hours.
  • Fast – Short cycle times
    Fastest robot of its class. The IRB 340 is developed for optimized short pick & place cycles: It readily handles 150 picks per minute, corresponding to a cycle time of 0.4 seconds. With a maximum acceleration of 10 g, the IRB 340 is the fastest robot in the world. The robot manages up to 180 inch foot inch cycles per minute.
  • Strong – Maximized utilization
    The picker can handle payload up to 2 kg.
  • Robust – Harsh production environment
    The IRB 340 is available in a stainless steel version, making it ideal for operations requiring extra clean environments. The stainless steel IRB 340 is highly suitable for use in food, pharmaceutical, medical and electronics applications. The IRB 340 is certified for clean-room with the clean-room class between 2 and 3.
  • Versatile – Flexible integration and production
    As the robot is top mounted; it does not consume any additional floor space and is easily integrated. In combination with ABB software PickMaster, the IRB 340 is the optimized flexible robot solution for high speed pick and place.
