From component to complete robot, ABB's reconditioning programs bring products back to their original specification at a far lower cost than a new one – extending not only the life but also the value of robotics equipment.
Limited reconditioning – The whole system is thoroughly cleaned and inspected. A report is provided where any area is considered to be beyond acceptable wear for the customer to choose whether to include that at additional cost.
Complete Reconditioning – The robot is completely disassembled, cleaned and checked for wear. The robot is reassembled, upgraded, repainted and tested to original specifications.
Exchange of mechanical arms – Identical robot arms to those already operating in production are pre-reconditioned, and then exchanged during production down-time to minimise any disturbance to our customers’ productivity.
Pre-Owned/Used Robots – ABB has a large inventory world-wide of pre-owned robots, ranging in sizes, handling capacities and specifications. ABB can supply “as is”, though we prefer to recondition and warranty all pre-owned robots to secure maximum performance of equipment.
