Product and System Training

ABB has dedicated, professional training centers located throughout the world. No other robot manufacturer has such a huge investment in equipment (over 300 robots) and professional instructors (over 100) that are dedicated full-time to the education of our Customer staff.

Each Training Center use standardised training classes that have been refined to provide students with the best combination of classroom and hands-on training to ensure speed and accuracy of learning. Classes are developed and continually improved covering all aspects of robot and control system use, maintenance and programming. In many cases, application and process training can be incorporated in to standard robot classes to enable students to learn not just about a standard robot, but the way in which it is used in their particular production environment.

Tools, equipment, training manuals and notebooks are all utilised in all of the classes to encourage the use of proper working practices and techniques. Students actively participate throughout all of the classes to make sure that they have the opportunity to practice lessons learned.

ABB instructors are all experienced in the automation business – many promoted from Field Operation activities where they have been trained and experienced “the real world”. As a result, the training provided is practical and specifically developed to mirror production situations rather than laboratory repairs.
