Reactive Repair Services
Repair and testing activities are carried out by factory-trained technicians enabling prompt return to service. All repairs carried out to original manufacturing specification under controlled conditions.
Preventative Maintenance / Refurbishment
A more cost-effective solution to routine maintenance by proactive test and routine maintenance activities carried out under controlled conditions in one of our factory based repair centres. All tests carried out in accordance with original manufacturing specification and to an agreed schedule devised to ensure optimum performance of instrumentation.
Calibration & Certification
We provide proactive test and calibration activities in accordance with instrument specification on an as required basis. All calibrations are carried out in accordance with relevant international standards and original manufacturering specification under controlled conditions in one of our factory based calibration and repair centres.
Performance Verification
Bench / Function testing of instrumentation where full certification is not needed or not possible, using specialist hardware/software packages predictive diagnostic tests can be performed, on some specific instruments, to verify performance and compare results against original manufactured specification. All tests carried out under controlled conditions in one of our factory based repair centres.
Service Exchange
Proactive ‘repair by replacement’ facility available for specific instrumentation systems and individual assemblies. Each exchange program is developed specifically to suit the product type, application. All replacement units are either new or refurbished and are provided with guarantee.
Flowmeter Calibration and Certification Services
ABB provides an extensive range of wet calibration and certification services using our global network of accredited calibration rig facilites. All calibrations are carried out in accordance with relevant international standards and original manufacturing specification.
- CalMaster Re-certification: ABB can provide annual full-function testing and calibration of your CalMaster verification test units to ensure traceability and accuracy. Recertification also includes upgrade to firmware/hardware, ongoing provision of factory technical support plus inclusion of an additional 1 years warranty.
- AquaProbe Recalibration: Proactive test and calibration of Aquaprobe 1 & 2 insertion flowmeters. All calibrations are carried out in accordance with relevant international standards and original manufacturing specification at one of our factory based calibration and repair centres.
- Flow Rig Calibration: In-situ verification and calibration is not always possible due to the type of flowmeter technology or level of calibration certification required. ABB can provide full wet calibration on a variety of flowmeters from 3mm up to 2200mm diameter using accredited flowrigs based in the UK, USA, Germany, China and Australia. All calibrations are carried out in accordance with relevant international standards and original manufacturing specification.
