Fast Temperature Programmed Gas Chromatograph - PGC2009
Solution
The PGC2009 is designed for specialty analysis for separation of wide boiling range compounds. The PGC2009 Fast Temperature Programmed Gas Chromatograph (GC) uses component separation to analyze liquid samples. The analyzer operates unattended, automatically sampling and analyzing process streams. Analysis functions are controlled by an integral ABB PGC Controller.
Description
The analysis section contains a Liquid Sample Injection Valve (LSV), a Directly Heated Separation Column, and the Flame Ionization Detector (FID). The approach is to decrease the measurement cycle in temperature programmed applications by reducing the total mass of the temperature- programmed section of the analyzer through the application of electrical current directly to conductive column materials, thereby heating the column. Sample separation takes place in the chromatographic column, which is installed between the LSV and the detector. The column contains special packing, which separates the compounds to be analyzed so that they enter the detector in a predictable sequence.
