Data Access
The 800xA system collects data from the Honeywell TDC 3000 system through the LCN card on a GUS. The communication is run via a proxy server located in the GUS which translates the data to OPC DA.
TDC 3000 Uploader
With help of the Uploader aspect on the Honeywell TDC 3000 Network object, all Honeywell TDC 3000 objects gets automatically uploaded to the Control Structure. When the upload is finished, all TDC 3000 objects are connected to the Honeywell controller, including engineering information such as object names and description. All objects include a faceplate, trend aspect and alarm list.
Pre defined objects types
Honeywell TDC 3000 objects are represented by 800xA objects. Each Honeywell TDC 3000 Object type has a unique 800xA representation including corresponding aspects as Faceplate, Alarm list, Event list and Trend. All objects come with a convenient object status overview aspect, accessible directly from the faceplate.
Process simulation
The whole 800xA/TDC 3000 system can be setup and configured in a simulated environment via a few simple steps. The TDC 3000 system configuration can be retrieved from standard TDC 3000 backup files or via a browse request towards a TDC 3000 OPC Server connected to the real system. The simulation of the process data and alarm is then achieved by using the Matrikon OPC Mimic Server. The simulation possibilities can be very useful during system setup, configuration and test of the new system structure.
Matrikon TPS server for Honeywell
The optional Matrikon TPS server for Honeywell is not part of the price list for the 800xA Evolution for HSM product. As the server is part of the supported product package (800xA Evolution for HSM) it can still be acquired through ABB by a separate quotation. The Matrikon TPS server for Honeywell is the only ABB supported OPC server for use with 800xA Evolution for HSM.
