External Status Asset Monitor (ESAM)
The ESAM enables rapid development of application specific asset monitors which are compatible with the ABB Asset Optimization (AO) system. The ESAM itself is a generic design, but it can be copied and configured for specific applications.
Once conditions are continuously monitored, resulting notifications can alert select staff to situations which must be addressed to enable cost savings, elimination of inefficiencies, etc. Reported conditions can generate an alarm in the 800xA Alarm and Event system, trigger a pager message and/or send an e-mail. Additionally, if a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is configured, it is possible to quickly generate a Work Order for a maintenance request.
