800xA Asset Optimization

With 800xA Asset Optimization condition monitoring and reporting features, the plant information generated from intelligent devices, systems, workstations, network hardware and other such assets can be collected, aggregated, analyzed, and compared to historical data to provide advanced warning of degradation or failure.

What is an Asset Monitor?
800xA Asset Optimization includes software that monitors asset health. Each specialized application of this software, called an Asset Monitor, varies in complexity, from those that simply identify status changes in an intelligent device to those that identify abnormal conditions using advanced process equipment condition monitoring. Asset monitors can exist in any part of the plant.

Using information from plant instruments, equipment and systems, Asset Monitors identify performance issues and events. There is a large family of Asset Monitors available, a few of which are:
Control Network Asset Monitors:

  • System 800xA components
  • Harmony DCS equipment
  • General Control Network IT elements
Process Equipment: Asset Monitors:
  • Control Loop Performance
    - Final Control Element diagnostics for valves and other FCE's
    - Controller Function/Tuning diagnostics
  • Heat Exchangers
Instrumentation & Drives Asset Monitors:
  • HART Devices
  • Profibus Devices
  • Foundation Fieldbus Devices
Basic Process Signal Asset Monitors:
  • Quality, Boolean, and Limit (high, low, high/low) checks
  • XY Deviation and Flow Delta
  • Runtime and Event Counter Checks
