The APC range of automatic capacitor banks is the most powerful and compact design available on the market. These banks employ contactors to switch the capacitor steps. They are the ideal solution for conventional, slow varying loads. Available with or without detuning reactors, APC range offers a solution for all type of conventional reactive power demands.
Some of the loads change very fast and hence could not be compensated well with the mechanically (contactor based) switched capacitors of the APC range. Some applications need very frequent switching of the capacitor steps where a device with its limited mechanical life (like a contactor) may not be the right solution.
