The low and medium voltage converters from the PCS product family are compatible with various generator concepts, from classical to the new direct-drive multipole permanent magnet. Based on the standard industry drives, the PCS converters for renewable power industry are specifically designed to comply with demanding grid-code requirements. The large PCS converters, dedicated to pumped storage application, use the same standard building blocks as smaller converters, produced in masses.
