Convenience Charging for Commercial and Office Locations
ABB continues to lead the way in an ever evolving EV market with the introduction of a new DC fast charger that provides drivers the convenience of charging their vehicles on site while they are busy performing another activity.
This new generation of fast chargers is geared towards fleet owners and customers that wish to provide DC charging as an extra service at retail and commercial locations. With DC charging EV drivers are incentivized to visit locations where DC charging is possible without worrying about how and where to charge the car’s battery. Drivers can now return to their car after performing an activity to find their car fully recharged. Typical ‘stop over ‘activities such as; having a meeting, going out for a meal, visiting retail locations, etc. take somewhere between 30 min and 2 hours to complete. Ordinarily, this period is too short to use AC charging to refill a car battery but with DC charging drivers can now take advantage of another solution for their EV driving needs.
