ABB's Generator Circuit Breakers (GCB) are widely used in all kind of power stations as gasturbine-, combined cycle- and thermal power plants as well as geo thermal, hydro and pumped storage power stations. Our GCB's have been applied in over 3'300 SF6 applications.

The openly installed GCB for indoor use - extremly compact for replacement and retrofit.

HECS

The metal enclosed GCB-system for in- and outdoor use. Broadly used in all kind of power plants.
HEC-7/8

from 450 MW up to 1500 MW
The youngest member of the HEC family for thermal and nuclear PP. Short circuit current of 210 kA.
