This three day school is designed to provide a review of phasors, review of per-unit calculation method, and a comprehensive coverage of symmetrical components in power system, their application in relay design, and performance analysis. This school discusses the symmetrical component representation of various power system components, and comprehensively analyzes faults. Participants will learn 1) Mathematical fault analysis techniques 2) Fault calculations and system stability for single-phase and multiple-phase fault scenarios 3) to understand real case examples 4) rapid calculations of how a system will behave under extreme abnormal conditions.
