QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
All ABB Robotics’ Application Templates, including the Machine Tending Template, are free of charge and downloadable as an add-in from RobotStudio®.
You can download from the Machine Tending Template website, or directly from RobotStudio®, using the add-ins tab. In RobotStudio, open the add-ins tab, search for Machine Tending, and install it. Once installed, right-click on the add-in and you will find links to the Deployment and Operations Guide, and the complete application manual for more detailed information. You can use the ABB Robotics Community for community support and practical discussions.
The free version of RobotStudio enables you to download the Machine Tending Template but upgrading to a paid RobotStudio subscription will improve your access to programming and simulation features.
The template is a flexible software baseline, not a turnkey solution. Performance and supported behavior depend on robot model, machine tending setup, and the integrator's implementation choices.
