Keep installation costs low and uptime high with a distributed I/O system. We offer two modular I/O solutions: S800L, space-saving I/O modules that offer basic functionality; and S800 an open, comprehensive process I/O system that offers high-end features. 


While both systems help reduce installation costs and simplify connectivity, S800 I/O also supports advanced capabilities including hot swapping, HART integration, redundancy options and time-stamped events.​

TECHNICAL DATA

S800 and S800L are both cost-effective distributed I/O systems. The S800L is a more compact system, offering basic functionality, that can be enhanced with S800. 

Size:
  • S800 is a standard size. 
  • S800L is a compact I/O system with a depth of 59mm. 
Termination units:
  • S800 uses Module Termination Units (MTUs).
  • S800L uses terminal strips. 
Diagnostics & features:
  • S800 offers extended diagnostics, HART, pass-through and time-stamped events. 
  • S800L offers basic comprehensive functions with fewer advanced diagnostics.
Temperature range: 
  • Rated for ambient temperatures up to 55°C (131°F) in vertical monitoring.
  • Rated for up to 40°C (104°C) in vertical mounting.  
Long description:  S800 I/O is an open comprehensive, distributed, process I/O system that communicates with controllers by direct connection or over industry-standard field buses. Thanks to its open connectivity it fits a wide range of process controllers from ABB and others.

S800L I/O modules are cost-effective and space-saving, and also connect to any PLC or controller via Profibus. The modules are fully integrated with the AC 800M advanced process controller. In addition, its modules can be freely combined with high-performance S800 I/O modules to bring advanced field interface functionality into any S800L configuration.
