WHAT'S NEW IN THE LATEST RELEASE​

Compact Control Builder AC 800M 7.0.0-0 is available and brings the following highlights:

Key enhancements include updated branding, expanded Profinet hardware unit support,  GSD file support for versions 2.44/2.45, and new S100 I/O Ethernet FCI CI846 functions.

Support for latest operating systems is given as follows:

  • Windows 11 Pro 64-bit
  • Windows 11 LTSC 2024 and Windows 10 LTSC 2021, Enterprise & IOT versions
  • Windows Server 2025 and 2022. Standard/Datacenter
  • Compact Control Builder 7.0.0-0 supports Microsoft Word 2024 and 2021
  • PROFINET IO

Enhanced hardware unit support in PM891 and PM866 controllers to support complex PROFINET APL configurations.
The number of supported hardware units in PM891 and PM866 has been increased to accommodate more complex PROFINET APL configurations.

New major version of hardware library S100CI846CI871HwLib, version 2.0-2. The new functionality requires CI846 with firmware version 1.1.2.0 or higher:

  • Support discrepancy detection between two analog channel values in the S100 I/O module types DSAI 133/133A and DSAX 110/110A
  • Support additional S100 I/O module types: DSDP 150 and DSDP 140A (support function modes POS-A(0), POS-A(1) and POS-L)

SAFETY ENGINEERING

ABB Control Builder Safe is an engineering tool utilized to configure, program, and maintain high-integrity safety applications for the AC 800M High Integrity controller. It provides TÜV-certified, SIL 1-3 compliant development environments using IEC 61131-3 languages and object-oriented control modules to build emergency shutdowns and burner management systems.
