ABB's new TÜV Certified library for complete control over the startup and operation of burners

EFFICIENT ENGINEERING

The Burner Management System library reduces engineering effort and improves operation and maintenance of Burner Management applications. It is suitable for different fuel types and contains TÜV certified SIL 3 capable functions blocks for complete control over the startup and operation of burners including control and monitoring of the ignition sequence, leak testing of valves and control of the air/fuel mixture and the fuel supply.

In addition to the TÜV certification to applicable Functional Safety standards (IEC 61508, IEC 61511 and IEC 62061), the library is also certified to other relevant industry standard to the extend applicable to a control system and associated software.

Using AC 800M High Integrity as a BMS

The AC 800M HI controller can be used for BMS in a stand alone configuration, integrated with ABB’s System 800xA or in conjunction with any other ABB or 3rd party control system. BMS applications are found in many different industries like Chemical and Petrochemical, refining and Upstream Oil and Gas, Power Generation, Pulp and Paper and District Heating and AC 800M HI safety controllers can be found in all of these industries.
