Kopex-EX offers specialized explosion-proof and flameproof solutions certified for hazardous locations including Zone 1, Zone 2, Division 1, and Division 2 classified areas where explosive atmospheres may be present. Both systems provide reliable cable protection with appropriate certifications for their intended environments.
Kopex-EX systems are certified to ATEX European Directives and IECEx International certification system for explosive atmospheres. Products also carry BSI Kitemark KM-90009 and CE Mark to Low Voltage Directive. Systems meet requirements for Zones 1, 2, 21, and 22 classified areas.
Kopex serves oil and gas (upstream, midstream, downstream), petrochemical processing, marine and shipping, offshore platforms, refineries, rail transportation, construction, mining equipment, automation, panel building, and utility power applications. Systems protect critical power and data cabling in standard and hazardous environments.
Standard Kopex systems operate from -20°C to +120°C in static applications and -5°C to +120°C in moving applications. High-temperature variants extend performance up to +150°C. Specific temperature ratings vary by product type and covering material. Liquid-tight and specialized systems offer different temperature capabilities.
Kopex-EX products use stainless steel construction or specialized coatings designed for marine environments. These materials withstand salt water corrosion on offshore drilling rigs and production platforms exposed to extreme weather conditions and corrosive atmospheres.
