MARRETTE® BLACK FOR HIGH TEMPERATURE WIRE CONNECTORS

When ambient temperature is a design constraint: Marrette Black is rated and ready for high-wattage fixtures, commercial signage, and elevated-temperature installations.

RATED FOR THE HEAT

When electrical connections must perform reliably in elevated-temperature environments, the Marrette Black high temperature wire connector is the solution. Rated to 150°C (302°F), its rugged thermoplastic polymer cap is designed for use in high-wattage lighting fixtures, signs, and other heat-intensive applications where a standard connector is not rated for service. The large, finely ribbed barrel-shaped cap provides a secure grip, and the threaded entry guides wire bundles into the internal conical spring chamber. The conical spring multiplies applied torque through leverage and wedge action, creating a firm conductor joint. Model 30 Black is approved for circuit and fixture connections up to 300 V only. Models 31, 33, and 35 Black are approved for circuits up to 600 V and lighting fixtures and signs up to 1,000 V. For copper conductors only.

KEY FEATURES AND BENEFITS

When the environment runs hot, standard connectors are not enough. The Marrette Black high temperature wire connector is rated to 150°C and purpose-built for high-wattage lighting fixtures, commercial signs, and other elevated-temperature applications where connection integrity cannot be compromised.

150°C-Rated thermoplastic polymer cap

Withstands sustained elevated ambient temperatures in high-wattage fixture housings, commercial signs, and industrial luminaire environments.

Conical spring torque multiplication

Internal conical spring uses leverage and wedge action to multiply applied torque, creating a firm, stable conductor joint.

Copper-coated spring

Corrosion-resistant spring coating extends connection reliability in the moist or chemically variable environments sometimes found within fixture enclosures.

Barrel-grip cap design

Large, finely ribbed barrel cap provides grip in hot, greasy, or confined installation conditions common during fixture servicing.

Model-specific voltage ratings

Model 30 up to 300 V. Models 31, 33, 35 up to 600 V (circuits) and 1,000 V (lighting fixtures and signs). Always select the correct model for the application voltage.
