FURSE® PRO MAINS POWER SURGE PROTECTION
Type 1 and 2 tested surge protective devices for mains power distribution systems.
BUILT-IN PROTECTION, RIGHT WHERE LIGHTNING HITS HARDEST
ABB's Furse Pro Mains Power Surge Protection range has been specified on critical projects worldwide, from data centres and hospitals to rail infrastructure and renewable energy sites. The Pro range includes two complementary series: the T1 Series, a combined Type 1 and 2 tested SPD for use at the main distribution board where a structural Lightning Protection System (LPS) is employed for equipotential bonding, and the T2 Series, a Class II tested device for sub-distribution boards. Both series are designed to meet the enhanced protection requirements of IEC/BS EN 62305, delivering low let-through voltage to minimise the risk of flashover, dangerous sparking and electric shock. Products are manufactured within an ISO 9001 environment using high-quality materials, supporting long-lasting performance in the most demanding electrical environments.
KEY FEATURES AND BENEFITS

ABB offers a proven range of Pro Mains Power Surge Protection devices built on over 130 years of Furse heritage in earthing and lightning protection. Manufactured within an ISO 9001-certified environment, ABB's Furse Pro SPDs are engineered for reliable performance across a wide range of mains power applications, from main distribution boards to sub-distribution panels.

Reliable

Provides repeated protection in lightning-intense environments, maintaining system operation after successive surge events.
Easy to install

Pluggable module design with anti-vibration locking clip allows for simple end-of-life module replacement with minimal downtime; mounts to 35 mm top hat DIN rail.
Compact

Space-saving form factor is compatible with standard distribution board enclosures and does not require additional panel space.
Monitoring

Remote signal contact interfaces with building management systems (BMS) to indicate SPD status; visual indicator alerts when the protection module requires replacement.
Versatile

Available in single phase (240 V) and three phase (415 V) configurations, covering TNS, TNC and TT earthing systems for broad system compatibility.
Safe

Enhanced protection to IEC/BS EN 62305 delivers low let-through voltage (Up ≤ 1.5 kV), minimising the risk of flashover, dangerous sparking and electric shock.
Durable

Thermoplastic UL-94 V-0 case material and operating temperature range of -40 to +80 °C support performance across a wide range of installation environments.
Compliant

Certifications include BS EN/IEC 61643 (Type 1 and Type 2), IEC/BS EN 62305, IP20 (IEC 60529), ISO 9001 manufacturing environment.
INDUSTRIES WE SUPPORT
