The Star Teck Bond Star grounding locknut was developed in response to the growing use of microprocessors, programmable controllers, instrumentation, and data communications equipment in demanding industrial environments. In these applications, floating voltage differences between equipment enclosures can cause data corruption, signal interference, and equipment damage. The Bond Star grounding locknut provides a reliable, low-resistance bonding path between the Teck cable fitting and the enclosure, helping to eliminate floating voltage differences in sensitive data and control installations. The sharp biting teeth design provides superior electrical bonding contact and allows corrosive liquids to drain away from the connection point. The Bond Star grounding locknut is also available as a factory-installed option on select Star Teck STE® and STEX® Series fittings by adding the suffix “GRL” to the catalogue number. Always install in accordance with the applicable national and local electrical codes.
