STAR TECK® STE SERIES FITTINGS
The Star Teck STE Series range-taking design simplifies fitting selection, reduces inventory requirements, and improves installation efficiency.
ONE FITTING. THREE HUB SIZES. SIMPLIFIED SELECTION.
Introduced in 1997, the Star Teck STE Series was the industry's first range-taking Teck cable fitting, and it remains the benchmark for simplified fitting selection and reduced installation inventory. Where conventional fittings require a separate hub size for each cable diameter, a single STE fitting covers the diameter range of up to three conventional Star Teck hub sizes, dramatically reducing the number of SKUs that need to be stocked and eliminating the guesswork of matching cables to fittings on the job site. The STE Series also introduced the removable armour stop, a feature that has since become an industry standard across all Teck cable fittings. The exclusive PowerGrip™ grips high up on the cable, not on the first convolution, so the jacket strip length is not critical, further simplifying installation. Sharp biting teeth provide superior electrical bonding and allow corrosive liquids to drain away from the connection point. CSA certified Type HLA for Class II Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F, and G; Class III; Enclosure Type 4, 4X, and 6P for hub sizes 1/2 to 2 inches; Type 4 and 4X for hub sizes 2-1/2 to 4 inches. Suitable for Class I Division 1 locations when used in combination with a certified Class I sealing fitting. Available in aluminum and steel. Designed and manufactured in Canada. Always install in accordance with the applicable national and local electrical codes.
KEY FEATURES AND BENEFITS

The Star Teck STE Series changed the way the industry thinks about Teck cable fitting selection. Its range-taking technology, removable armour stops, and exclusive PowerGrip design deliver measurable advantages in fitting selection, inventory management, and installation efficiency across a broad range of Teck and ACWU cable applications.

Range-taking technology

A single STE fitting covers the cable jacket diameter range of up to three conventional Star Teck® hub sizes. Eleven catalogue numbers cover outer jacket diameters from 0.500 to 4.340 inches, dramatically reducing SKUs required in inventory and eliminating cable-to-fitting mismatches in the field.
Easy installation

The factory-installed removable armour stop comes ready for the smallest cable in its range. For larger cables, simply unscrew and discard. No fitting disassembly required. A built-in jacket stripping gauge on each fitting further simplifies cable preparation.
Compliant

CSA certified Type HLA for Class II Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F, and G; Class III. Type 4, 4X, and 6P for hub sizes 1/2 to 2 inches; Type 4 and 4X for hub sizes 2-1/2 to 4 inches. Suitable for Class I Division 1 when used with a certified Class I sealing fitting. Always install in accordance with the applicable national and local electrical codes.
Durable design

The built-in sealing device provides a 360-degree seal even on rough or uneven enclosure surfaces. The shoulder groove prevents over-compression of the seal. PowerGrip non-magnetic stainless steel grounding ring grips high up on the cable for 360-degree long-term dependable grounding.
Reliable

The exclusive PowerGrip design grips high up on the cable, not on the first convolution, so precise jacket strip length is not critical. Dual sets of grounding devices ensure 360-degree dependable grounding and make immediate contact with the cable upon insertion.
INDUSTRIES WE SUPPORT
