STAR TECK® STX SERIES FITTINGS
The Star Teck STX Series features an integral sealing chamber and disconnectable design for faster cable preparation and easier installation.
The benchmark for hazardous location Teck cable termination. The Star Teck STX Series features an integral sealing chamber and disconnectable design that minimizes cable preparation time and simplifies installation in classified industrial environments.
THE BENCHMARK FOR HAZARDOUS LOCATION INSTALLATION
Developed in 1990 in close collaboration with engineers from the Canadian petrochemical, oil, and gas industries, the Star Teck STX Series set a new standard for ease of installation in hazardous location Teck cable termination. The easy-to-fill integral sealing chamber requires less sealing compound than conventional designs, and the flame path is optimally designed to allow easy insertion into the hub. The disconnectable design requires minimal cable preparation, and liquid and putty type sealants developed alongside the STX fitting eliminated the need for the cement-based sealants previously used in the industry. The low-profile gland nut features grooves for hammer and screwdriver installation and flats for wrench-gripping. A tapered bushing provides a secure, tight fit, and the funnel entry simplifies cable insertion even in confined spaces. CSA certified for hazardous location applications. Always refer to the specific model certification data in the catalogue for the applicable classes, divisions, groups, and hub sizes before specifying for any installation, as ratings vary by hub size and material. Available in aluminum and steel. Designed and manufactured in Canada. Always install in accordance with the applicable national and local electrical codes.
