GFI CAPABILITIES
<p>ABB's GFI provides extensive capabilities to serve as a single source for manufacturing needs, helping customers streamline their supply chain and rely on a trusted partner from prototyping through to full-scale production.</p>
Capabilities include shearing, AMADA CNC, machining, brake forming, punch press and PEM insertion. Tool room services and prototyping are also available.
ABB's GFI offers spot, TIG and MIG welding services. All welders are certified to CWB 47.1 and 47.2 standards.
Finishing capabilities include electrostatic powder and liquid paint lines. ABB's GFI also offers silk screening and laser etching for precise marking and surface finishing.
Services extend to complete product assembly, hardware integration, component installation, labeling and functional testing.
ABB's GFI provides quality capabilities for coordinating measuring machines, spectrophotometry, 2D laser marking, salt spray testing and dimensional optical scanning with accuracy to 0.002 inches. GFI follows structured quality processes, including PPAP and PFMEA to ensure consistent, reliable production.
ABB's GFI works with a broad range of materials including commercial metals, such as cold rolled and hot rolled steel, satin coat, galvanized, aluminum (2024, 5052, 6061, 7075), extruded aluminum and stainless steel 300. Extensive expertise working with specialty materials like copper, titanium, inconel, cobalt, stainless steel (400 series, 201 LN and PH-alloys), GFI can accommodate materials up to a maximum of ¼ inch thickness, 10 feet length and 125-ton bending capacity.
