GSec Air provides three positions in one structure: LINE, OPEN, and EARTH. It can be used as a switch disconnector or as a disconnector with earthing switch and is suitable for incoming and outgoing panels, also in combination with circuit breakers or fuses.
GSec Air is the SF₆‑free version of the GSec platform. It replaces SF₆ gas with dry air insulation with a global warming potential (GWP) of zero and uses vacuum interrupters for breaking capacity.
Yes. GSec Air complies with IEC 62271‑102, IEC 62271‑103, and IEC 62271‑105 standards, and with the EU F‑gas regulation (EU) 2024/573, which restricts the use of SF₆ in medium‑voltage equipment. Its SF₆‑free design supports regulatory compliance and sustainability objectives to comply with latest PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) environmental regulations.
GSec Air features a compact sealed‑for‑life tank with limited volume (≤25 liters), dry air insulation that simplifies service activities, and mechanical position indicators for clear status visibility. It maintains the same interface and operation as GSec, reducing training needs and the risk of misuse. Further, channel partners can leverage streamlined operations with fewer components and simplified inventory with fewer spare variants.
Yes. GSec Air is designed with a similar footprint, interface, compact size and operations as the existing GSec, making it easier to integrate in new panels interchangeable with existing set-ups. Further, GSec Air has same configurations as the existing GSec.
