ABB’s skid modules for primary applications are designed to house medium and low voltage equipment installed and interconnected in the factory enabling an efficient construction schedule (pre-installed and pre-tested system).
ABB skid modules arrive at the customer’s site with integrated medium and low voltage equipment that has been pre-tested. This greatly reduces the installation, test and start-up time required to get the equipment on-line, reducing the overall project timeline. Also, the skid modules typically reduce the amount of labor hours on site because of the integrated equipment.
Yes. ABB’s skid modules are designed for easy access to operate and maintain the equipment in the open frame module. The ABB switchgear and other control equipment is robust and designed for efficient maintenance and long life.
Both ABB’s eHouses and Skid modules integrate medium voltage and low voltage equipment for primary applications. eHouses are transportable, tested and enclosed electrical rooms that provide environmental control with HVAC as well as fire alarm and security systems. Skid modules are open frame modules with integrated medium and low voltage equipment- but, they are not enclosed and do not offer any environmental control, fire or alarm system capability.
