Keeping your motor performing in rugged environments should not tie up your maintenance team. The ABB Baldor-Reliance® HydroCool XT is a water-cooled motor that is quiet and versatile, requiring little to no maintenance, which can perform in some of the toughest environments.

 

The water-jacket cooling technology extends motor life while saving space, energy and maintenance costs.

 

HydroCool XT is available in standard NEMA frames and equipped with provisions for ABB Ability™ condition monitoring. It is the most torque-dense solution for extremely demanding applications.

Technical data

HydroCool XT represents a new generation of water-cooled motors developed in response to market demands for improved technical features. The range is available in NEMA frame sizes 360 to 5800.

Up to 1250Hp

Power range 60-1250Hp (45-932kW).

Frames 4 sizes

NEMA 360, 400, 440 and 5800.

Insulation Class F

(optionally Class H) and 3 thermostats or PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) thermistors per phase.

Efficiency IE3 or IE5

NEMA Premium for induction motor, ultra-premium for PM rotor.

Certifications UL, CE, CSA

Available with UL component recognition, CE mark and CSA approval.

Protection IP55

Optionally IP56.

50% higher rating than standard NEMA TEFC in the same frame, reducing weight, saving space and lowering total cost of ownership.

Low maintenance

Water-jacket cooling eliminates fans and filters, rugged finless corrosion-free 1/2 - 3/4" rugged fabricated steel frame is easy to clean.

Quiet, efficient cooling system and high efficiency (IE5 with permanent magnet)—delivering full-load torque from zero speed with high overload capability.

Flexible design

Versatile DOL/variable-speed motor, NEMA drop-in, oversized F1/F2, built-in lifting for safe handling.

U.S.-designed and built, offering quick customization and fast lead times.

Customizable
