Last time, we visited ABB’s factory in Minden, Germany, to discover the meticulous precision that goes into producing industrial mass flowmeters.

We’re back at Minden in this episode: watch our engineers explain how ABB’s CoriolisMaster flow measurement solutions are rigorously calibrated to deliver accuracy under extremes of industrial usage.

Calibrating Coriolis Master mass flowmeters for 0.1% accuracy

Extreme calibration: replicating industrial scenarios for accuracy and reliability

As we saw in the previous episode, ABB’s CoriolisMaster mass flowmeters are produced with rigorous precision and attention to detail. But this production process is just one part of the story when it comes to achieving accurate and traceable, flow measurement: a vital requirement for industrial processes around the world.

Calibration is a crucial next step. Through the calibration process, we ensure that our flow measurement solutions read accurately, precisely, and reliably in the most demanding of industrial applications.

This requires replicating these scenarios in our testing facility. And this means some extreme engineering, with 150,000 liters of water storage, pumps capable of delivering seven tons per minute, and an innovative cooling system to ensure accuracy.

Watch the episode to see how our engineers achieve accuracy down to 0.1%, delivering the precision, traceability, and reliability our customers demand.
