How we helped Ford to increase safety and eliminate manual work
Challenge: Eliminate all the manual forklifts and increase safety. Solution: Installation of 60 AMRs to automate all of the logistic flows inside the engine plant. At the engine plant, 60 Flexley Tug AMR T702 robots automate line supply, kitting, and end-of-line processes. With high pulling capacity, low profile, and bidirectional movement, they transport raw materials to machining, sequenced parts to assembly, and finished products to quality control and shipping. Guided by magnetic or SLAM navigation, the AMRs replace manual forklifts, improving safety through built-in collaborative features. They also boost efficiency and energy savings, with routes fully managed by the plant server. Operators interact via tablets or keypads to confirm steps and keep processes running smoothly.

Right now, at Valencia Engine Plant we have around 50 AGVs that are covering more than 20 routes which make more than 60.000 km per year.
