All hardware, software and electrical modules needed to complete a function module are included. The components are designed and configured to easily interface with each other. The system uses a software platform where customer unique features also can be configured. In addition to our standard package, we also offer custom packages designed around your specific needs.

ABB Handling Functional Module can integrate a wide range of robot families and variants, from larger to smaller robots. This contributes to improve flexibility, productivity, and reachability.

DressPack – Lean ID

DressPack LeanID is a partly integrated dress pack that makes the production more secure and flexible. It reduces the cable wear that leads to fewer cable replacements witch increase productions uptime. Suits also well for 3D simulation.

OmniCore V250XT controller

OmniCore controller allows robots achieve class-leading Motion Control with path accuracy down to 0.8 mm, even with multiple robots running at top speed. Includes a built-in cybersecurity and traceability for increased quality, productivity, and reduced downtime.

Media panel (air)

Media panel air unit is fitted on the base of the robot and contains components air distribution and control within the Handling Functional Module. It is controlled from the robot controller via the handling software. The capacity and functionality depend on the choice of different options.

Handling software

The handling software is simple and has complete functionality but is still flexible to adaption for specific needs. It contributes with reliability and quality in the production.

Tool changer

Tool changer will improve robot flexibility, giving the possibilities of quick changes between different tools. Last generation of automatic smart tool changers, as well as manual tool changers are available as an option and can be ordered upon request.

Designed to offer a fast, flexible, accurate and safe automated solution for installing anything from seats, dashboards and carpets inside vehicle bodies, to doors, bumpers and wheels outside the vehicle, ABB’s new Dynamic Assembly Pack for Final Trim and Assembly (FTA) combines real time vision cameras on the robot gripper and arms with integrated force control sensors to allow the robot to precisely track the position of the car body as it enters the workstation.
 

Dynamic Assembly Pack is a solution that includes Universal Vision Tracking (UVT) and Compliant Vision Guidance (CVG).
 

  • Universal Vision Tracking (UVT) synchronizes robot with assembly line, allowing the robot to track the position of the car body as it enters the workstation on an AGV or conveyor.
  • *Compliant Vision Guidance (CVG) combines real-time vision cameras on the robot gripper and arms with integrated force control sensors to enable any ABB industrial robot to sense the speed and exact location of the vehicle body so it can immediately respond to changes in the production flow, amending its movements and speed to match.
