The GWT C9 is a next-generation, electrically driven servo spot welding gun designed for exceptional performance, reliability, and uptime. Built on ABB’s modular 9-series platform, it features a standard body with configurable C/J-type arms made from aluminum, copper, stainless steel, or carbon fiber to suit specific weight and performance requirements.
Lightweight yet powerful, the C9 is ideal for both robot-carried and stationary setups, with six C/J-type variants available to meet a wide range of welding needs. It can be supplied as a standalone unit or as part of a complete ABB package—perfectly paired with the ABB Spot Welding Functional Module for a ready-to-weld solution.
The C9 is compatible with a variety of ABB robots, including IRC5-controlled IRB 6620, 6700, 6790, 7600, and 8700, as well as OmniCore-controlled IRB 5710, 5720, 6620, 6710, 6720, and 6740 models.
