Our Turbine-2-Electric CO₂ savings calculator is a powerful tool that helps customers quantify CO₂ reductions and tax benefits when transitioning from gas turbines to electric drivetrains.

ABB CO2e Calculator for marine vessels

As regulations tighten and sustainability becomes a priority for the maritime industry, ABB’s CO2e Calculator for marine vessels is designed to help reduce the environmental impact. Launched in Autumn 2023 and recently upgraded to version 3.0 with a more intuitive interface and additional functionality, the CO2e Calculator allows shipowners, operators, and designers to estimate the potential emissions-reduction and energy-savings impact of five ABB technologies used on board ships (Azipod® electric propulsion, energy storage, Onboard DC Grid™ power system platform, shaft generator, and shore connection).

ABB Energy Savings Calculator

Forty-five percent of the world’s electricity is used to power electric motors in buildings and industrial applications. Rising demand for energy will cause a significant increase of electrical motors and by 2030. ABB’s Energy Savings Calculator is an online tool tailored to estimate potential benefits of enhancing the energy efficiency of their low voltage motors (efficiency class IE3 and below) in pump and fan applications. It estimates the energy savings that could be achieved by upgrading to the latest motor and drive technology – the IE5 SynRM package – for optimal energy efficiency gains.

 

By inputting basic details about their motor fleet, running hours and average operating power, the customer can estimate energy and emissions savings, and payback period. The online calculator is a light version of the in-depth energy efficiency audit used by ABB’s experts in a full study and is based on the same algorithm.

The Return on Investment (ROI) Calculator from ABB Ability™ demonstrates the power of online data analysis to drive energy efficiency, optimize site equipment performance, maximize uptime and improve safety.

 

With ABB Ability™ Energy and Asset Manager, energy and asset management are combined into a single, intuitive, cloud-based dashboard.

 

This allows remote visibility of energy demand and usage, making possible reductions in energy bills of around 20%; maintenance cost reductions of 40%, operational cost savings of 30% and 100% savings on unplanned labor.
