ACS880-17LC liquid-cooled cabinet-built regenerative single drives

The very compact liquid cooled ACS880-17LC captures and utilizes braking energy which results in cost savings for the user. It is an ultimate solution for various applications where space savings, silent operation or durability in harsh environments is a must.

Capture and utilize braking energy

The very compact liquid cooled ACS880-17LC captures and utilizes energy which results in cost savings for the user. With regenerative functionality, the braking energy of the motor is returned back to the drive and distributed forward to the supply network. This way, the braking energy is not wasted as heat.

In comparison with other braking methods, such as mechanical and resistor braking, the ACS880-17LC brings much more energy savings.

Key benefits

ABB ACS880 single drives are compatible with virtually all of your processes, automation systems, users and business requirements. ABB's benchmark of performance, expertise and quality, serving you locally on a global scale.

Suitable for harsh environments

Provides quiet operation ideal for space-constrained and harsh environments. The 100% liquid cooled drive is much more tolerant to airborne dust and chemical particles than air cooled drives.

Simple to install

Compact drive ensures easy installation for different environments

Advanced liquid cooling

The liquid-cooled design has now air flow into the cabinet, which minimizes noise and makes the drive suitable for sensitive environments. Footprint is 30% smaller compared to an air-cooled drive of similar power.

Marine approved

Marine type approved single drives available as an option

Robust design

Robust, long lifetime designed drive to last even in harsh conditions with proven reliability of ACS880 drives series and 9-year maintenance interval

Flexible for your needs

The ACS880 offers flexible hardware and software to meet your specific needs, from ready-made to engineered-to-order drives
