This course covers basics of AC500 PLC system architecture and basic AC500 V3 engineering methodology according to IEC61131-3. The training also contains hands-on exercises with AC500 and Automation Builder.
After completing this course the participant will be able to:
- Use his knowledge of AC500 architecture and the functions of its components to
create optimal system configurations for given applications - Create a new project and configure AC500 hardware with corresponding centralized digital and analog I/Os
- Configure a decentralized I/O expansion using Profinet IO
- Design and configure simple application programs by using standard operand
data types, standard functions, and function blocks - Handle standard libraries
- Configure connection between AC500 and PC via Ethernet TCP/IP
- Download the project to AC500 and test the function
- Use the diagnostics tools for system monitoring and troubleshooting
- Save the project in PLC and PC
- Create a simple web visualization
- Configure a visualization for the Panel CP600
Prerequisites and recommendations: participants shall have a basic understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers and be familiar with operating in a Microsoft Windows environment.
This course covers advanced AC500 V3 Programming methods according to IEC61131-3. Upon completion of this course participants will expand their programming skills and learn how to reuse code and improve its maintenance.
The training also contains hands-on exercises with AC500 and Automation Builder.
After completing this course participants will be able to:
- Program more complex applications in different programming languages

This course complies with PLCopen training requirements and is officially certified by PLCopen organization.
The goal of this course is to learn the communication capabilities of the AC500 V3 with remote I/Os, another AC500 V3 and ACSx80 Drives.
Introduction to protocol together with focus on AC500 V3 hardware are giving opportunity to build solid and structured base about PLC Automation Products.

Prerequisites and recommendations: participants should have attended the F880 AC500 V3 Basic course or have knowledge and experience associated with the content of this course.
The objective of this course is to make the participants familiar with the configuration and programing steps of AC500-S Safety PLC, version V3 in its entirety.
Upon completion of this course the participants will be able to:
- Understand the hardware modules of AC500-S Safety PLC and their features
- Perform hardware configuration and parameterization of safety F-devices
- Make use of the PROFIsafe functionality with F-Host device in safety communication
- Write safety software logic using ST or FBD editors
- Implement standard certified safety library for a given application
- Practice with PLC Open safety library blocks for the most used safety applications
- Verify basic safety configuration with using available tools
- Perform diagnostic and troubleshooting by using Automation Builder software utility

Prerequisites and recommendations:
Prior knowledge on generic and machinery standards for functional safety of electric and electronic systems (IEC61508, IEC62061, ISO13849, etc. is expected and not taught in this course at all).
Working knowledge with AC500 V3 PLC and Automation Builder software is mandatory. Participants should have attended the F880 AC500 V3 Basic classes or have knowledge associated with the content of this training.
