We are committed to supporting LGBTQ+ communities by fostering a safe, fair and inclusive working environment where everyone in ABB can come to work as their full selves. While many of our initiatives are part of our overarching commitment to Diversity and Inclusion, you can learn about some of our dedicated LGBTQ+ activities on this page.
We have signed the UN Standards of Conduct for Business, which tackles discrimination against lesbian, gay, bi, trans, and intersex people. We also signed the LGBTIQ+ Agreement and have participated in annual campaigns with Boston Consulting Group, joining some of Switzerland’s largest companies in a shared commitment to fostering inclusion in the workplace.
Our initiatives
Inclusive policies, principles and guidelines
<p>Our Code of Conduct includes a clause that enforces zero tolerance against discrimination based on gender identity, gender expression and sexual orientation. Our employee benefit policies are reviewed globally to ensure inclusivity of LGBTQ+ people where applicable.</p>Learning and development
<p>Our resources include LGBTQ+ specific learning paths, webinars and workshops focused on the power of allyship, the history of the movement, and how to embed inclusivity into our processes. We also hosted global reverse mentoring program—pairing up senior leaders with members from the LGBTQ+ community to understand challenges and changes required.</p> <p> </p>LGBTQ+ employee resource groups and employee networks
<p>They are active across the Americas, Europe and Asia with more than 1,200 members on a voluntary basis. They are a safe space for listening and supporting employees, as well as fostering an inclusive culture.
